The Opelika Auburn News recently featured an article on the progress of the Auburn University Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Facility project currently under construction by Rabren General Contractors.   An excerpt can be found below:

“When the curtain opens at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center in August 2019, it will provide a space for touring Broadway productions to make a stop on campus, as well as for musicians, comedians and dance companies.

‘This isn’t just a concert hall. This isn’t just a theater,’ said Christopher Heacox, executive director of the Gogue Center. ‘This is something we can do everything in.’

The 85,000-square-foot performing arts center is under construction now on South College Street, directly across from the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art. The pair of buildings will serve as a fine arts district for the campus and the town.

The university broke ground on the site April 1, 2017.”
